Arias Surette 1912 - 2002 COCAGNE-Arias Surette, 89, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Cocagne passed away on Friday, August 2, 2002 at the residence. Born in Cocagne, October 14, 1912, he was the son of the late Edouard Surette and the late Olive Allain. Prior to his retirement, he was a construction foreman and was a member of the Cocagne Golden Age Club and StPierre Roman Catholic parish. Arias will be sadly missed by his wife Nelda (Bourque) Surette of Cocagne; four daughters: Cecile Goguen of Peabody, Mass., Paulette Surette of Fredericton, Oliva Goguen (Léonard) of Dieppe, Cora Hay (Bruce) of Shediac; a son Jean-Eudes (late Flora) of Cocagne; two sisters: Hélène Surette of Kamloops, B.C., Loretta Despres (Stéphane) of Cocagne; one brother Alonzo Surette of Kamloops, B.C.; three grandchildren: Sylvette, Mélanie, Pierre . He was predeceased by two sisters: Emilia, Sr. Cora and four brothers: Calixte, Dolor, Emerie and Aristide Surette. Resting at St-Pierre Roman Cathol ic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne with visitation on Sunday from 7 to 9p.m. and on Monday from 10a.m. until time of funeral. The funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2002 at St-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne. Interment in the parish cemetery. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home Shediac Ltd.(532-3297). In his memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of N. B. (855-9636) would be appreciated by the family.
