Albert N. Brooks 1913-2002 CAMPBELLTON, NB - One of Campbellton's well known citizens, Albert N. Brooks, husband of Bernice Brooks, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2002 at the Village Nursing Home at the age of 88. He was the son of the late Norman Brooks and Emma Levi. Brooks was active in municipal politics having been a councillor for approximately 19 years last serving in 1979. He also was involved with the U.C.T., served on the Boards at the Restigouche Nursing Home in Dalhousie and the Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Campbellton. Mr. Brooks was owner/operator of Brooks' Cash & Carry store in Dalhousie for many years, retiring in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bernice (Quinn), a daughter Lois Ann (Vaughn) Sullivan of Riverview. Two grandchildren, Susan of Lower Sackville, N.S. and Doug of Moncton. Two great-grandchildren, Tara Lynn and Sean Sobey of Lower Sackville, N.S. as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 6 brothers and a sister. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2002 from First Baptist Church, Campbellton. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral Home.
