Jan MAJEWSKI

Jan "John" Majewski 1918-2002 Jan "John" Majewski, 83, of Moncton, passed away on Monday August 5, 2002 at his residence. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Jan and the late Helena (née: Langowski) Majewski. Mr. Majewski served in WW11 under the British Command, was a respected cello and violin maker and was also known as an avid amateur astronomer. He attended St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Majewski is survived by his wife Réjane (née: Comeau); one son Vojtek "John" of Sydney, Australia; one sister, Urszula Antes of Poland; two grandchildren: Paul and Alexander as well as several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by two brothers: Arthur and Gerhart. Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home,. 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901 on Wednesday August 7, 2002 from 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church, Lewisville, on Thursday August 8, 2002 at 11:00 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
