Albert Lirette Albert Lirette, 78, of Grant Street, Moncton, passed away Friday August 9, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born November 28, 1923 in McDougall Settlement, he was the son of the late Raphael Lirette and Josephine McGraw..A veteran of W.W. 2, he served overseas with North Shore Regiment Co. "A". He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6 and Dieppe War Veterans Association. Albert was also past Secretary for CUPE School Districts 13 & 15 from where he was employed before his retirement. He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Belliveau) Lirette; two daughters Rose Gordon (John) of Riverview, Murielle Weldon (Wayne) of Moncton; two sons Paul (Ann) and Leo both of Moncton; three sisters Rita Myers (Leo), Yvonne Godin (late Charles) and Jeanne Daigle (Armand) all of Moncton; four grandchildren: Wayne, Shelley, Jenniffer, Melissa, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two infant daughters: Maria and Andrea; two sisters: Virginie Allain, Evangeline Gautreau; three brothers: Alfred, Arthur, Placide and two half-brothers, Philippe and Johnny. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Monday from 9 a.m. until time of departure (9:45). The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday August 12, 2002 at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. The Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton branch No. 6 will hold a Legion Service at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
