Della Margaret FERRIS

Funeral services for Constance Lake resident Della Margaret 'Dale' (nee Ferris) Martin, 51, of 33 Nabakhabo St. were held Oct. 25, 2002. She died Oct. 21 at Toronto General Hospital from a liver illness. Born Sept. 4, 1951 at Pagwa River, she was for years the Constance Lake Band Office clerk and later worked at the Little Lambs Gathering childcare centre. Described by family as a God-fearing person and religious devotee, she was an active parent and volunteer for the community and the Full Gospel Church. Predeceased by her parents Madeline and George Ferris, she leaves her husband Roderick Martin, a daughter Joanne Martin, and sons Rodney and Jonah Martin, all of Constance Lake, and Barry Martin of Hearst. Also surviving are her sisters Georgina (Zachius) Bluff and Janet (Jimmy) Sutherland of Constance Lake, Harriet Achneepineskum of Sault Ste. Marie and Barbara Ferris of Hornepayne, a brother Samuel Ferris of Sault Ste. Marie, and grandsons Vaughn and Conrad and granddaughter Sunshine Martin. Pastor Joey Gilbert of Walpole Island officiated the service at the Full Gospel Church. Interment was at the Constance Lake burial grounds.
