Funeral services for longtime Hearst resident Edmondine R. (née Audet) Poliquin, 75, of 527 Prince St were held May 13, 2002. She died May 10 following a heart attack. Born July 30, 1926 in St-Magloire, Quebec, she came to the Hearst area in 1934. Predeceased by brothers Louis Audet in February 2001 and Irenée Audet in the mid-1960s, she leaves her husband Gervais Poliquin of Hearst, sons Joël (Sylvie) and Rémy (Renée Lecours) Poliquin, both of Hearst, and a daughter Chantal (Daniel) Blais of Cantley, Quebec. Also surviving are a brother Lionel (Jeanne) Audet of Hearst, sisters-in-law Denise Audet of Hearst and Laurette Audet of Orléans, and two granddaughters and four grandsons. Rev. Sébastien Groleau officiated the service at the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral. Interment followed at the Monseigneur Grenier Cemetery.
