It is with great sorrow that the family announces Léon’s death at the age of 68, on Sunday, April 14, 2002, at his residence in Sarnia following a short battle with cancer. Léon was born on January 6, 1934 in Montréal, Québec. The family relocated to Moonbeam, in Northern Ontario, in his early years. For the past 30 years he has been residing in Sarnia where he owned a successful painting company. Léon was predeceased by his parents Rosario and Éva Brûlé, his brothers Bruno and Gilles and his sister Viola (Trottier). He is survived by his three children, Hélène Brûlé-Besner (Neil) of Hamilton, Gilles (Carmela) of Montréal, Dr. Michèle Brûlé (Gérald Nadeau) and the mother of his children Noëlla of Sudbury; his sisters Marguerite (Nap. Roy), Pearl (Rodolph Potvin) both of Paincourt, Ontario, Fleurette Manca of Kapuskasing, Ontario, Carmen (Fernand Lévesque, predeceased) of Chertsey, Québec and one brother Carmel (Jeannette) of Moonbeam. Grand-Pa is lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren: Nicole and Paul Besner; Kyla, Devon and Jenel Brûlé; Kara, Anika and Sasha Nadeau. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and the Funeral Mass will be held in Moonbeam, on May 18, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. Visitations will be from 10:00 A.M. at the church.
