Funeral services for Hearst Notre-Dame Hospital resident Aurore Marie (née Trudeau) Michaud are to be held April 20 in Hearst. She died April 10, 2002 at age 63 following a lengthy illness. Born March 26, 1939 in Piopolis, Quebec, she came to Hearst in 1970. Described as always ready to help others, she enjoyed painting, wood sculpture, the outdoors, and fishing and hunting. Predeceased by her husband Jean-Claude Michaud in 1988, she leaves a son Marc Michaud of southern Ontario, sisters Simone and Rolande, a brother Roland Michaud, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Rev. Rémi Lessard is to officiate the service at the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption Cathedral. Interment will be at the Monseigneur Grenier Cemetery.
