Claudette Proulx, 389 Gov't Rd, died at Sensenbrenner Hospital in Kapuskasing, on Feb. 24, 2002. She was 76 years old. Mrs. Proulx was born on Dec. 14, 1925 in St. Pierre de Wakefield, Quebec. She was a housewife. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Catholic Women's League, she enjoyed drawing, camping, making bread, picking strawberries, and playing with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by four daughters Lizette Landry of Sudbury, Jocelyne (Shelden Wraight) Proulx of Guelph, Murielle (Paul) Bégin of Wawa, Penny (Robert) Landry of Timmins, five sons, Nick (Lise) of Sudbury, Art (Lucille) of of Kap, Joe (Hélène) of Gatineau, Luke (Denise) of Kap, Jean (Liette) of Kap, three sisters Rose Cayouette , Cécile Dufour , and Sylvia Dinsdale all of Kap, one brother Armand Larabie of Lancaster, 18 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Rev. Robert Tremblay directed the funeral services at Notre Dame des Victoires. Mrs. Proulx will be interred at the Kapuskasing cemetery.
