Margaret E. Harrison ELGIN, NB - Margaret E. Harrison of Elgin, passed away Saturday September 7, 2002 at The Moncton Hospital. She was born June 17, 1928 in Boom Road, Northumberland County. She was a daughter of the late William and Sarah (MacLean) Allison. Margaret was actively involved with The First Elgin United Baptist Church as well as the President of The Elgin Senior Citizens Club, she was actively involved with the N.B. Senior Citizens Federation, previously being involved with the Women's Missionary Society, The Liberal Association and The District No. 16 School Board. She is survived by five daughters, Deborah Leaman (LeeRoy), Erla Steeves (Richard) both of Elgin, Delores Murray (John) of England, Tonya Harrison of Halifax, Joan Denney (Ray) of Fredericton, one son, Blair Nelson (Lorna) of Moncton; two sisters, Vera Duthie (Joe) of Tide Head and Nellie Walsh (Vincent) of Newcastle; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 1983; seven brothers, Charles, Stillman, Sam, Allen, Chester, Borden and Edmund and one sister, Rose. Visiting hours will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held from The First Elgin United Baptist Church, on Wednesday September 11, at 1:30 PM, with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be in the New Elgin Cemetery.
