Manfred P. "Fred" Volgmann 1932-2002 Manfred P. "Fred" Volgmann, 69, of Moncton and formerly of Montreal, PQ, passed away at Miramichi Hospital in Miramichi City, NB on Sunday, September 8, 2002. Born in Danzag, Germany he was the son of the late Paul & Maria Volgmann. He retired from the Marine Industry as a Field Technician. Fred was an avid sports fan and a huge Leaf Fan, he enjoyed football, soccer, baseball and hockey. He attended St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Botsford St., Moncton. He is survived by his wife, Sophie M. (Gionet) Volgmann; one daughter, Karen of Kingston Pennisula, NB.; one son, Ernest of Toronto; two grandchildren, Anthony and Christopher; one brother, Harry Volgmann of Mississauga, On.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Anna Maria Pakalaski and by a brother Hubert Volgmann. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home 171 Lutz Street, Moncton on Tuesday, September 10 from 7 to 9 and Wednesday September 11 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 11:00 am. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
