W. Blair MacDonald The death of W. Blair (Buzz) MacDonald, husband of Velma, of Bessborough Ave. Moncton occurred at his residence on Wednesday September 11, 2002 surrounded by his family. Born in Summerside PEI he was the son of the late Wilfred and Annie Laurie (Constable) MacDonald. Mr MacDonald retired as a Supervisor in the Mail Order Department of the T. Eaton Co. after 47 years service. He served overseas with the Canadian Army in the European Campaign during World War II . A member of St. George's Anglican Church, Moncton he was also a member of the Eatons Quarter Century Club and had been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6. A wonderful husband and father he will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years Velma (Carmichael) and his daughters Deborah of Moncton and Barbara of Toronto. He will also be missed by his brother William (Bill) and wife Ruth of Moncton and his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth (Beth) in 1958. Visiting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, Friday September 13 from 7 to 9 pm with funeral service on Saturday September 14 at 1:30 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Fr. David Mercer officiating. A reception will follow in the Family Reception Room of Fair Haven Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital "Oncology Clinic" or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
