Edgar (Blackie) Martin 1925-2002 Edgar (Blackie) Martin, 77, of Steadman Street passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, September 19, 2002. Born in Moncton on June 21, 1925, he was the son of the late Benoit and Mary (Breau) Martin. He is survived by his daughters, Wilma Ricker of Moncton, Esther Gallant, Jaqueline Johnson, Claudette Martin all of BC; sons, Vincent of BC, Edgar of Hull, PQ; a sister, Edna Dow and a brother, Leo both of Saint John; several grand children and great grand children; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Margaret; sisters, Amanda, Anita, Germain, and a brother, Henry. Visitation at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 25 from 1:00 PM until the start of the memorial service at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. The family suggests memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Saint John.
