Léonard LeBlanc Léonard LeBlanc, 83, of Rosedale Avenue, Moncton, passed away Tuesday September 24, 2002 at The Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Born February 10, 1919 in Saint- Anselme, he was the son of the late Dominique and Irene (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. He was Baggage Master for VIA Rail before his retirement. Leonard also enjoyed playing golf, curling, and was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1310. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Rita (LeBlanc) LeBlanc; daughter, Patsy Poirier (Paul) and son, Terry both of Moncton; sister, Marie Arsenault (Edmond) of Moncton; brothers, Zoël (Marie-Louise) of Moncton, Omer (Jeannine), and Noé (Margaret) both of Dieppe; grandchildren, Janice (François), Ginette, Lisa, Patrick, Michel, Thomas; great-grandchildren, Alexandre, Nicolas; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Yvon. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2002 at St-Louis-de- France Roman Catholic Church (Lewisville), Father Paul Breau officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. The 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Members, Council 1310, will hold a prayer service Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. from the funeral home.
