Douglas Earl HYSLOP

Douglas E. Hyslop Douglas Earl Hyslop, 65, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday September 24, 2002 at The Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born at Gunningsville, he was a son of Agnes McCormack (nee Gahan) formerly Hyslop and the late Frederick Hyslop. Doug was proud to call himself a car salesman and until illness forced retirement was employed with Moncton Honda. In his earlier years he was coach in the Riverview Minor Hockey Association, a member of the R.C.M.P Auxillary, and the Salisbury Lions Club. Doug enjoyed harness racing both as a driver and a fan and was a member of the U.S. Track Association. In his leisure time he enjoyed puttering around the Old Place with his buddy Don, gardening and playing cards. Survived by his mother Agnes McCormack of Willamsport M.D., his beloved wife of over 43 years Joan (MacDonald); children, Richard of Moncton, Kimberly Reinbolt of Fort St. John B.C., Lisa Dean (Richard) of Wheaton Settlement; cherished grandchildren Jeremy, Josh, Francesca and Mitchell Reinbolt, Delaney and Cole Dean. Surviving also is a sister Myrna Fone and brothers William (Jane) and Wayne (Kathy) all of U.S.A. and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Frederick and his stepfather John McCormack. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372- 4800) with visiting hours Wednesday 79 and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. from the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday September 27 at 10 a.m. from St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, Salisbury. Interment at St. Bridgetts Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hardwicke.
