Néri MELANSON

Néri Melanson Néri Melanson, 95, of Villa Providence Home, Shediac, formerly of Lewisville, passed away Monday, September 30, 2002 at the residence. Born August 16, 1907 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Albert and Alvina (Breau) Melanson. Prior to his retirement, Néri was a salesman with Golden Grain Bakery in Léger Corner (Dieppe) and later with Lane's Bakery. He was a member of the Christ-Roi, Dieppe Golden Age Clubs, and a 3rd degree member Knights of Columbus, Council 1310. Néri is survived by his four daughters, Pauline Belliveau (Fred), Lorraine Cormier (Paul), Germaine Melanson (Alphonse), and Claudette LeBlanc (Donald) all of Moncton; his three sons, Paul (Roberte) of Dieppe, Roger (Sherrie) of Cocagne, Clarence of Magog, QC.; two sisters, Nelda DesRoches of Memramcook, Alice Blais of Bic, QC.; several grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice (Drisdelle) Melanson in July 1980; a son Georges in 1966; sisters Corinne and Dorilla; brothers Aurel, Donat "Dan", Edgar, Emery, and Napoleon "Nap". Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday October 3, 2002 at St-Louisde-France Roman Catholic Church (Lewisville). Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. The Knights of Columbus, Council 1310, will hold a service of remembrance at 7:00 p.m on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. At the request of the family, memorial donations to the Dr. Georges-L.
