Raymond Després COCAGNE, NB - Raymond Després, 93, husband of the late Alice (Allain) Deprés of Foyer Cte d'Or, Cocagne NB, passed away at the Dr. Georges -L Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 after a brief illness. Born in Cocagne, NB, on October 10, 1908, he was the son of the late Sylveste Després and the late Célina Breau. He was a fisherman and worked as a plumber at No. 5, Moncton. He attended the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne , NB and was a member of the Cocagne Golden Age Club. He is survived by three daughters, Jeannette Mallet-Després of Saint- Thomas, Phyllis Després-Geske (Wayne) of Després-Village, Lima Comeau (Ola) of Toronto, ON; five sons, Armand, Stéphane (Loretta), Roméo (Jeannette), Maurice (Wilma) all of Cocagne, Léon (Nancy) of Moncton; 25 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two children, Patrick and Norma in infancy; six sisters, Sr. Lima, Yvonne, Angeline, Lorette, Germaine, Elimia; two brothers, Fidèle, Alphonse. Resting at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne, with visiting hours on Thursday October 3, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday 2 to 3:45. Funeral services Friday October 4, 2002 at 4:00 pm at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne , NB. Interment in Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
