Edward "Ned" "Pop" Healy Edward "Ned" "Pop" Healy, 90, of McBeth Avenue, Moncton, passed peacefully away Monday October 14, 2002 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born April 24, 1912 in St. John's, NF, he was the son of the late Michael Healy and Elizabeth Long. Before retirement, Ned worked for CN in Newfoundland, New Brunswick, and Ontario. He also served as a Merchant Marine during W.W. II, and was a parishioner of St-Augustine's Roman.Catholic Church, Moncton. He is survived by three daughters, Peggy Healy, and Laura Healy both of Moncton, Mary Bishop of Barrie, ON; three sons, Michael (Alice) of Thompson, MB, Bernard (Sherri) of Kilbride, NF, Frank (June) of Capreol, ON; a brother Bren of Kilbride, NF; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. A special thanks to Sheila Seely for her kindness and care. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Brennan) Healy June 12, 1991, and by his brothers Tom, Frank and Bernard. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Thursday and Friday at W.J. Caul's Funeral Home, 84 Lemarchant Road, St. John's NF (1-709-753-6845). The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 19, 2002 at Corpus Christie Roman Catholic Church, Kilbride, NF.
