Helen J. Blakely PLAINFIELD, ON - Mrs. Helen J. Blakely, 91, of Plainfield, Ontario passed away peacefully at her residence on October 30, 2002. Born in Nelson Miramichi, NB, she was the daughter of the late John Edward Hubbard and Catherine McMahon. She was affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by daughters, Ethel Connors (Lyle) of Miramichi, Rita Chaston (James) of Liscom, NS, Ann Isiah (Joe) of Miramichi, Geraldine O'Hearn of Miramichi, Jacqueline Woodworth (Bligh) Liverpool, NS, Catherine Emery (Norm) of Chilliwack, BC, Helena Walker (Winston) of Miramichi, Caroline Trevors (Dale) of Plainfield, Theresa Melanson (Donny); sons, Clarence Blakely (Marie) of St. Catherines, Stephen Blakely of Calgary, Herbert Blakely, John Blakely (Linda), Gordon Blakely Jr. (Irene) and David Blakely (Peggy) all from the Miramichi; 57 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Major Malley; one daughter Rachel and one son Reginald; sister Florence (Victor) Cowie; brothers, Joe, Clarence, Hubert, John, Marshall, Cliofford, Bob and Johnny Dignam. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Basilica, Miramichi, NB on Monday, November 4, 2002 at 10 am.
