Lionel BRUN

Lionel Brun 1909-2002 SHEDIAC, NB - Lionel Brun, 93, of Villa Providence, Shediac, formerly Champlain Street, Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at his residence. Born in Cap Pelé, he was the son of the late Patrick and the late Osithe (née Leger) Brun. Mr. Brun had retired from the Town of Dieppe Fire Department, had been a member of the Dieppe Firemen's Association and the Club d'Age d'Or de Dieppe. He is survived by six daughters; Aldona (Raymond) Gallant of Moncton, Pauline (Ronald) Bastarache, Lucille (Nickolas) Arena, both of Waltham, MA, Thelma (Emile) Daigle, Gloria Melanson and Edith (Michael) Murphy, all three of Dieppe; four sons, George (Donna) of Shirley, MA, Gérard, Dismas (Muriel) and Rodrigue "Whitey" (June), all three of Dieppe; one sister, Rose-Mai Vairogs of Saint John; 36 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and by three great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Brun was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Judith (née Bastarache), his second wife, Marianne (née Richard), his third wife, Hélène (née Caissie); one daughter, Anna-Mai; three sons, Léonce, Patrick and Allison; three sisters, Marceline, Léa and Mélina; one brother, Laurent; four grandchildren and by one great grandson. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday, November 15, 2002 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Ste. Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 11 am. Interment in Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Parish Cemetery, Cap Pélé, NB.
