Mary L. Gillis 1902 - 2002 GIMLI, MB - Mrs. Mary Lenore Gillis, widow of the late Percy G. Gillis, of Gimli, Manitoba, and formerly of Moncton, NB, passed away at her residence, in Gimli, on Monday, November 11, 2002 at the age of 100. Born in Chatham, NB, on November 9, 1902, she was the daughter of the late Daniel P. and Isabel (Kerr) MacLachlan. She was a homemaker; a retired RN and attended the Winnipeg Beach United Church. She is survived by two daughters, Judith Carnagie (Robert) of Gimli, MB and Kathleen Goodwin of Ottawa, ON; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Percy; and son-in-law Peter, both in 1986; three sisters, Vern Lyon, Norma MacLachlan and Isabel Weldon. By request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held from the Winnipeg Beach United Church, on Thursday, November 14, 2002, conducted by Rev. Lynn Stevens. A public graveside interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi, NB on Monday, November 18, 2002, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
