Kathleen Ward 1924-2002 BRITISH SETTLEMENT, NB - The death of Kathleen Ward, age 78, occurred on Tuesday, November 9, 2002 at The Moncton City Hospital. Born on August 27, 1924, in Yorkshire, England, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Kathleen (Harley) White. Kathleen was a member of the Sackville Senior Citizen's Club and enjoyed playing cards, darts and loved bowling, she was a past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26 Women's Auxiliary and was a lifetime member of the legion. She is survived by one son Brian (Wilma) Ward of Amherst, NS; two brothers, Raymond (Erma) White of Sussex, NB and William (Shirley) White of Digby, NS; one sister, Edith (Mike) Pooley of Ontario; daughter-inlaw, Arlene Ward of Sackville, NB; grandchildren, Sherry and Paul, Nathan and Logan; great grandson, Stephen. She was predeceased by one son, Stephen Ward; two brothers, Leonard and Alfred White. Arrangements are entrusted to Cambell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (364-8188). There will be no visitation by request of the family . A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 2 pm from St. Ann's Anglican Church with father Kevin Stockall officiating. Interment will follow in the Westcock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
