PRICE, AMY JANE The death of Amy Jane Price of Doaktown occurred on Friday, August 30, 2002 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of almost 49 years, Richard (Dick) Price. Born in Doaktown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jane (Arbeau) Price. Mrs. Price was employed as a homemaker with the Department of Health, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Doaktown United Pentecostal Church, and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren that brought her much joy. She was a very loving and caring person and was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her husband of 48 years, she is survived by her children, Eileen Martel (Vincent) of Ottawa, Ontario, Tommy Price of Doaktown, Crystal Clowater (Dana) of Fredericton, and Derek Price (Nadine) of Lincoln; grandchildren Stacey Briggs (Scott), Eric Martel, Amy Clowater, Vanessa Clowater, Taylor Price, and Chloe Price; a great granddaughter Kristen Briggs; a sister, Etta Shute of Doaktown; a sister-in-law Etta Price of Doaktown; and several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by a close family friend, Charles Storey. Mrs. Price was predeceased by brothers George, Andrew, Tommy, and Everett Price; and by sisters Hilda Price, Barb Munn, Amy Beek, Emily Munn, and Hessie Munn. Visitation will take place at the Doaktown United Pentecostal Church on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM from the church, with Rev. Russell Morehouse officiating. Interment will take place in the First Doaktown Pentecostal Church Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Carl Price, Terry Price, Kevin Price, Rufus Price, Mark Price, and Roderick Price. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon (365-7577).
