Jean J. WALKER

Jean J. Steeves Surrounded by love, the death of Jean J. Steeves of Lakeview Manor, Riverview, and formerly of Poirier Dr., Moncton, occurred at her residence on Wednesday, November 27, 2002. Born in Richibucto, Jean was the daughter of the late John D. and Eva (Mundle) Walker. Jean will be remembered for her fine sense of humor, extraordinary kindness in helping others and her dedication to volunteerism. She was an active member of St. John's United Church where she served in past positions as Clerk of Session, U.C.W. President and president of Chegnecto Presbyterial U.C.W. Jean's dedication to the community was especially evident while she served as the Past President (15 years) of the Elizabeth Fry Society of New Brunswick and was a member of Fort Monckton Chapter IODE. Jean was employed with the New Brunswick Provincial Government for many years at the New Brunswick Community College (Moncton) until retirement. Jean will be sadly missed by her life long friend Anne and husband Stuart Eagles; cousins Shirley, Mark, and Dave Mazerolle and Margaret McWilliams; sister-in-law, Enid and husband Gerry Wigmore and niece Marilyn Ayles and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her husband Milford Steeves (1981). No visitation by personal request. Memorial Service at St. John's United Church, Alma St., Monday December 2, 2002 at 2pm. Rev. Ross Wiseman, Rev. Douglas MacEachern officiating. Reception following the service.
