Sadie May PETITPAS

Sister Sadie May Petitpas (Sr Marie St-Benoit) Sister Sadie May Petitpas, f.j. passed away at the Provincial House of the Filles de Jesus, Elmwood Drive, Moncton, at the age of 98 and in the 80th year of her religious profession. She was born in Poirierville, N.S., the daughter of the late Aimable Petitpas and Eliza Bonin. Sister Sadie May rendered many services to the community but especially as a cook in institutions in Quebec: Sayabec, Cap-de-Ia- Madeleine, St Stanislas and Three Rivers; in Alberta: Morinville, Plamondon and Edmonton; finally in Nova Scotia: L' Ardoise, Riviere Bourgeois, Arichat and Sydney. Since 1992, she resided at the Provincial House, on Elmwood Drive. Besides her religious family, she is survived by her sister Edith Petitpas of St-Peter's, NS; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lina and Mary; as well as five brothers, Francis, Andrew, Stanley, Godfrey and Dominique. The remains will be resting at the Provincial House, 553 Elmwood Drive from 2 P.M. on Friday, November 29. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Provincial House, 553 Elmwood Drive on Saturday, November 30, at 11 A.M. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
