Mrs. Corena I. Tweedie 1914 - 2002 Kouchibouguac - Mrs. Corena Isobel Tweedie, wife of Wallace M. Tweedie, of Kouchibouguac, passed away at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at the age of 88. Born in Colpitts Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lavina (Steeves) Mitton. She was a homemaker and a member of St. James United Church, Kouchibouguac; a member of the U.C.W. of that church; a member of St. Andrews, Chapter #28, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Wallace; one daughter, Mrs. Susan House, of Lively, Ont.; three sons, David (Kathleen), of Hampton, Murray (Heidi), of Kouchibouguac, and Stephen (Gayle), of Upper Coverdale; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by one grandchild, Ferris; one sister, Mrs. Hazen Irons; one brother, Percy Mitton.. Visitation will be from St. James United Church, Kouchibouguac, on Thursday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be from St. James United Church, on Friday, December 6, 2002, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Beth Johnston. Interment will be in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
