Ronald Folkins DORCHESTER, NB - On December 6, 2002, Ronald Joseph Folkins, 87, of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Dorchester, NB, peacefully and surrounded by love went to his heavenly home. Born on October 11, 1915 at Pleasant Ridge, NB, he was the son of Ford Casey and Mary Elizabeth (Cook) Folkins. He attended Dorchester United Church. The greatest part of his working life was spent farming and working in the woods. He loved music, playing games, driving and enjoying the country side. He loved being involved in the lives of his five children, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and loved sharing stories of his working days with them, which they enjoyed hearing about. Besides his beloved wife of 58 years, Estella (Carson) Folkins, he will be greatly missed by his children, Ritchie (Alice) and Warren both of Dorchester, Marion and Elsie (Mike) both of Moncton, Lloyd (Donna) of Riverview; thirteen grandchildren and their families, as well as many nieces and nephews and his friends. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 9, 2002 at 3 PM, Rev. Margaret Outerbridge officiating, reception following service. Interment will be at Berwick NB Cemetery.
