Arnold Somers SILLIKERS, N.B. - Mr. Arnold Somers, of Sillikers passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at the age of 86. Arnold was the son of the late Raymond and Laura (Taylor) Somers. He was a lumberman and attended the Little Southwest Baptist Church. Arnold was a church Deacon and Sunday school superintendent. He is survived by four daughters, Leah French (Paul) of Quispamsis, Lois Travis (Robert) of Dundas, Ont., Laura Tozer (William (Bill)) of Lyttleton, Dawn Siddall (Ken) of Prince George; one son, James (Joy) of Calgary; four sisters, Vera Nelsen of Collingwood, Ont., Joyce Esson (Miller (Bub)) of Millerton, Jean Thompson (Alex) of Halifax, Aura Sticklen (Bud) of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Evelyn; one brother, Gerald; and one brother-in-law, Floyd predeceased him. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Little Southwest Baptist Church, Sillikers on Thursday from 7-9 and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held on Saturday from the Little Southwest Baptist Church, Sillikers at 2P.M. with Reverand Terry Woodcock officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Church Memorial Fund, Gideon Bibles or to the Awana Club.
