Ambrose YOUNG

Ambrose Young 1922-2002 MIRAMICHI, N.B. - Mr. Ambrose Young, husband of Stella Young, of Winnipeg Cres., Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday, December 28, 2002, at the age of 80. Born in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, N.S., he was the son of the late Daniel R. and Elizabeth J. (Redmond) Young. He was a Veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Canadian Army in England, France and Italy. Following the war, he served with the R.C.A.F. as a plumber, by profession and continued this on into his civilian life, until retirement. He is survived by his wife, the former Stella DesRoaches; four daughters, Gail Surette (Kevin), of Miramichi, Jane Young, Patricia Ganaway, both of Sydney, N.S., and Anne Kent (Danny), of Twwasson, B.C.; two sons, Daniel Young (Mary), of Calgary, Alta., and Patrick Young, of Dartmouth, N.S.; one brother, Roy Young (Perky), of Sydney Mines, N.S.; six grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Basil Young. Visitation will be from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Monday, only, from 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations the the Lung Association, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
