Catherine Astle BATHURST, NB - Mrs. Catherine Astle, wife of George "Buster" Astle of Patterson Crescent, Bathurst, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2002, at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Center after a brief illness. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Myles and Martha "Millie" (McGee) Carroll. She was a member of St. George's Anglican Church. Besides her husband of 51 years, she is survived by one son, Christopher (Margaret) of Bathurst; one daughter-in-law, Marie (Darren) Mickler of Calgary, Alberta; one sister, Barbara "Dodie" Gregson of Bathurst; three sisters-in-law, Delima Carroll, Brantville, NB, Matilda Carroll, Lavillette, NB, Eleanor Carroll, Oromocto, NB; eight grandchildren, Tiffany, Craig, Myles, Emma, Catherine, George, Madeline, and Sherry; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Dale; three half-sisters, Dunleigh MacDonald, Mabel Shea, Della Anderson, and four half-brothers, Lawrence, Francis, Harold, and Harry Carroll. The Funeral Service was held on Monday afternoon, December 30, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. from St. George's Anglican Church, King Avenue. Burial will be in Bushville Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
