Stewart S. COLPITTS

Stewart S. Colpitts CALGARY, AB - Stewart Stevie Colpitts, 82, passed away November 30, 2002 in Calgary. Born in Salisbury, he received his early schooling in his native province and moved to Calgary in 1935 to join his father, who had founded Model Dairies. On the death of his father in 1941, Stewart became owner and operator of Model Dairies and two Calgary area farms, marking the beginning of a successful and rewarding lifelong career, Stewart was an active member of his community and enjoyed many friendships and fond memories as a member of the Gyro Club. He was a long standing member of the Calgary Milk Producers, Alberta Dairyman's Association and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Catherine Zinc and son-inlaw, Joe; his three granddaughters and by his loving companion, Kathleen Colpitts. He was predeceased by his wife Dolena and son Jim. Funeral services were held December 7, 2002 in Calgary.
