HAZLEDEN, George W. (Life member of Algonquin Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. #536; Member of North Bay Valley Scottish Rite Lodge of Perfection and Rose Croix; Member of Moore Sovereign Consistory, Hamilton; Chartered member of Sudbury & District Valley Lodge of Perfection). Graduate of Copper Cliff High School and a retired employee of INCO Metals Ltd (1979) with 38 years of service. Peacefully, at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Monday April 29th, 2002. George W. Hazleden, son of the late Sophia and James Hazleden of Copper Cliff. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Edith (Hughes of Capreol), his sons Peter and his wife Lina of Barrie and Donald G. and his wife Barb of Vancouver; predeceased by his sister Mary Kehler (1992). Also survived by 2 grandsons Arthur Wood Hazleden and Roger Wood Hazleden of Vancouver. George was an enthusiastic curler and golfer and will be sadly missed. Friends may call at the STECKLEY- GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (201 Minet’s Point Road at Yonge Street) Barrie on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service of remembrance in the chapel on Saturday May 4th at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Laurentian Hospital Cancer Treatment Centre would be appreciated by the family. Family and friends are welcome to the interment of cremated remains at the Sudbury Anglican Cemetery on Monday May 6th at 2:00 p.m.
