POIRIER, Léo The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury, Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Thérèse Poirier (née Sauvé) of Garson. Son of the late Olivier Poirier and the late Germaine Poirier (née Trudeau). Loving father of Laurette Champagne (husband Ed) of Val Caron and Robert (wife Deanna) of Garson. Predeceased by one son, Donald (wife Lisette predeceased). Dear brother of Gloria Lachapelle (husband Henri predeceased), Lucille Lefebvre (husband Rolland) and Adèle Swarbrick (husband Archie) all of Sudbury. Predeceased by his sister Thérèse Poirier. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Sherry-Lynn, Sean, Robert Jr., Roxanne and Devon. Léo was a W.W.II Veteran. A retired Falconbridge employee, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., East (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Friday from 2 to 5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 04, 2002 at 11 a.m., in the Bishop Roger Despatie Chapel of the Co-Operative Funeral Home, Sudbury. A memorial service under the auspices of the War Pensioners of Canada will be held Friday May 03, 2002 at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
