Cecile-Marie Pepin (nee: Lachance) , of Hearst Death: March 15th, 2002 Hearst resident Cécile-Marie (née Lachance) Pepin, 69, of 48 St. Laurent St. died March 15, 2002 at Notre-Dame Hospital following an illness. Born May 24, 1932 in Hallébourg, east of Hearst, she was described by family as generous, concerned about her children, a woman of great faith with 'une joie de vivre'. A member of the Club soleil des aîné-e-s seniors club, she enjoyed playing cards, carpet bowling, knitting and crocheting, crafts, gardening, reading the Bible, camping and fishing. Predeceased by parents Alma and Ligouri Lachance as well as brothers and sisters, she leaves: her husband Omer Pepin of Hearst; sons Roger of Niagara Falls, and Jean-Guy (Nicole) and Alain (Chantal) Pepin, all of Hearst; and daughters Denise (Jean-Louis) Brisson and Hélène (Paul) Blanchette, all of Hearst, Lucie (Marcel) Gilbert of Amos, Que., and Aline (Michel) Moreau of Madison, Wisconsin. Also surviving are sisters Laurentia Hébert and Bernadette Sigouin, both of Hearst, Dolorès Latulipe of Pine River, Manitoba, and Jeanine Bureau of Jogues, brothers Romuald of Hearst and Laurent Lachance of Val Côté, and seven granddaughters and six grandsons. Pastor Gérard Jolin is to officiate the March 30 memorial service at the Christian Assembly chapel. Cremation was done at Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson. Funeral director was the Salon Lafrance Funeral Home. The family has requested that commemorative donations be made to The Gideons or Canadian Cancer Society. Published on March 20th, 2002
