Jean-Baptiste Lepage December 26, 2002 Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Jean-Baptiste Lepage jeudi le 26 décembre, 2002 à l'hôpital Sensenbrenner, Kapuskasing à l'âge de 83 ans. Il laisse son épouse Rachelle de Kapuskasing, deux fils: Gilles de Gatineau, Québec, Réjean époux de Monique d'Ottawa, deux filles: Julie Parisien épouse de Michel, Michelle Lebel épouse de André tous de Kapuskasing, ainsi que six petits enfants: Alain, Katie, Marc-André, Sébastien, Anaïque et Émilie. Le service funéraire a eu lieu samedi le 28 décembre, 2002 en l'église Notre Dame de la Paix, Kapuskasing avec le père Fernand Villeneuve comme célébrant. L'inhumation a suivit au cimetière de Val Rita. Jean-Baptiste Lepage, 15 Ash St, Kapuskasing, died at Sensenbrenner Hospital on Dec. 26. He was 83 years old. Mr. Lepage was born on July 17, 1919 in St. Denis, Saskatchewan. He arrived in this area in 1924. Mr. Lepage worked as a maintenance supervisor until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a past president of the Caisse Populaire, and a founding member of La Forge. He enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, telling jokes. He encouraged strongly the French language. He was predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters. Mr. Lepage is survived by his wife Rachel; sons Gilles of Gatineau, Quebec and Réjean (Monique) of Ottawa; daughters Julie (Michel) Parisien and Michelle (André) Lebel, both of Kapuskasing; and six grandchildren, Alain, Katie, Marc-André, Sébastien, Anaïque and Émilie. Fr. Fernand Villeneuve directed the funeral service at Notre Dame de la Paix on Dec. 28. Mr. Lepage will be interred at the Val Rita Cemetery. Donations can be made to a charity of choice.
