Joan Stella Edwards April 09, 1935 - January 14, 2002 On Monday January 14, 2002, Joan Edwards of Edmonton, formerly of Brandon and Medora, Manitoba passed away peacefully at the age of 66 years after a courageous year long battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her children; Leigh Ann (Allan) Sexton of Smoky Lake, Darla (Brad) Lucy of Carlyle, Sk., Kerry (Tannis) Edwards of Lethbridge, Ab., grandchildren; Katrina, Jerilyn, Grant, Matthew, Tyler and Gerrit, sister, Donna, brothers; Vic, Blake and Randy, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Grant; brothers, Larry and Terry; her parents, Agnes and Donald; and her special long time companion, Lloyd. At her request cremation has taken place and her Final Resting Place will be in Medora, Manitoba. A Memorial Service was held in Sherwood Park, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Ave., Edm., T6G 1Z2.
