Regina LUSSIER

Regina Desrochers (née Lussier) - February 10, 1919 - May 31, 2004 Peacefully, on May 31st, 2004, Regina passed away at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home, at the age of 85 years. Regina is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, René, and her children Marie-Jeanne Gamache (Harvey), Florence Bouchard (Claude), Armand Desrochers (Bev), Henriette Ballinger (Eric), Angèle Desrochers-Emond (Bryan), Irène Maynard (Robert), Solange Friesen (Ron), and Gilles Desrochers (Diana). She was predeceased by her first husband Henri in 1980 and her son Lucien in 1989. Regina will be remembered for her “golden heart”. She dedicated her life to her family and was always fond of telling others about the joys and rewards of having a “big family.” She welcomed and cherished each new grandchild, great-grandchild and great-great-grandchild with an open and loving heart. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their kindness and care. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 04 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Viewing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday June 05 at the St. Norbert Roman Catholic Church, 80, rue Saint-Pierre, with Father Antoine Vo Van Hoa presiding. Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date in Saint-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of Regina’s favourite charities: St. Norbert Personal Care Nursing Home (Recreation Department) or to The Oblates of Mary Immaculate at Villa Maria.
