Jack Anthon Folmes - October 26, 1920 - May 24, 2004 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Anthon Folmes at Deer Lodge Hospital peacefully in his sleep on May 24, 2004. Leaving to mourn his passing are his wife Jennie of 58 years; his children, Linda and Larry (Cathy); his grandchildren Clifford, Ryan and Crystal; his two sisters Sophie Orzech, Bernice (Pete) Abuda; and his brother John (Zenith). He was predeceased by his parents, Tony and Stella Folmes. Jack was born in Arnes, MB on October 26, 1920. During the Second World War, he served in the army and was stationed overseas for four years. He then worked for Canadian Sportswear as a garment designer for 38 years until his retirement. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ryan Folmes, John Kosowski, Ed Kosowski, Paul Stimpson, Jeff Warren and Regis LaBossiere.
