STEELE, Arnold J. After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family on Monday, April 29, 2002 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Rogers Street Site in his 89th year. Arnold, beloved husband of Violet Steele for fifty years. Dear father of Robert and his wife Pat, David and his wife Leslie and Cathy Raponi and her husband Frank. Loving grandfather of Jordan, Joshua, Bailey, Adam, Nicole and Matthew. Brother of Mary McLellan and her husband Bob of Markham, Margaret Macmillan, and Everette Steele and his wife Barbara, all of Campbellford. Predeceased by sisters Florence Hunt and Eileen Scott. Arnold was a building contractor in the Peterborough area for many years and a member of the Scott’s Plains Kiwanis Club. Service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church on Friday, May 3rd at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 12:30 1:00 pm at the church. The Reverend Desmond Howard will be officiating. Interment Highland Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Giles Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
