PURDY, Geertje Sara Johanna (nee Venhuizen) - Peacefully, at Etobicoke General Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday, June 22, 2002 (born January 22, 1924), Haren Groningen, The Netherlands). Beloved wife of the late Ernest Ivan Purdy (1909-1995). Loving mother of Foskea Purdy of Brampton, Grietje McBride (Bob) of Peterborough, John Purdy (Sarita) of Campbellville and Roy Purdy of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Catherine, Margaret and Mary-Elizabeth McBride, Sarah and Serena Purdy of Campbellville, James Noble (Lisa) of Brampton and Michael and Julie of Toronto. Beloved sister of the late Harm Dirk Venhuizen (Utrecht, The Netherlands), aunt of his children Hendrik Jacobus Venhuizen (Corrie) and Elsje Venhuizen. Great-aunt of Marijke, Jacqueline and Ingrid Venhuizen (Best, The Netherlands) and Martijn, Romy and Nienke Venhuizen (The Netherlands) . Friends were received at the J. Scott Early Funeral Home, 21 James Street. Milton (905-878-2669) on Tuesday, June 25th from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at 11 a.m. from St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Campbellville. Interment on Thursday, June 27th at 1 p.m. at Knox United Church Cemetery, Kearney.
