Dorothy HICKS

WEATHERLY,A resident of Edinburgh Care Centre, Guelph, died August 30, 2002 at Guelph General Hospital, at the age of 65. Joan was the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy Hicks, and beloved niece of Helen Kendall of Waterloo, she is also survived by her sisters Karen Hicks of Peterborough and Madeleine Hicks of Perth, Australia. She was the mother of four sons, Gordon Button and family of Renfrew, ON, Donald Button and family of Mission, BC, Ross Button and family of Carlton Place, ON and Gary Button and family of Brockville, ON. Predeceased by her infant daughter Terrie Ann. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, 252 Dublin St., N., Guelph (519-822-4731) on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at 2 pm. Interment will take place at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford. As expressions of condolences Joan wished that donations be made to the scholarship fund in her name at the University of Guelph.
