BESTARD, Shirley McIntyre (nee Curtis) - Peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2002 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in hr 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Roland Bestard (February 2000). Dear mother of Janet Robinson (Garry) of Maynooth, Kenneth (Ruth) of Cavan and David (Sandra) of Peterborough and the late Kathryn Curtis. Shirley was grandmother to 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Mrs. Marion Collison of Islington and Clinton Curtis of Rogers City, Michigan. Shirley was predeceased by her parents William Edwin Curtis and Mabel (nee McIntyre) and her sisters Mrs. Evelyn Milburn, Mrs. Lila Woodley, Mrs. Ruby Dorrington; and her brothers Max Curtis and Walter Curtis. Shirley graduated as a Reg. Nurse from Civic Hospital - Class of Ô48. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Wednesday at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME, 356 Rubidge Street. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am at Auburn Bible Chapel, 911 Armour Road, on Thursday, September 12, 2002. Pastor John MacLean will officiate. Interment to follow at Little Lake Cemetery.
