SLEETH, Douglas Haig (Royal Canadian Armed Forces-Army Captain Ammunition Technical Officer 36 years and long time member of St Anne’s Roman Catholic Church). Peacefully, on Thursday December 5th 2002 at P.R.H.C Hospital Dr. Site in his 84th year. Doug, beloved husband of the late Margaret Theresa Sleeth (nee:Alberts), married for 54 years. Dear father of Donna Sleeth of Peterborough, Gary Sleeth and his wife Dr. Cathy LaRochelle of Thornhill, Patrick Sleeth and his wife Barbara of New Lowell, Betty-Anne and her husband Dr. Felix Bassoon of Thornhill and the late Robert Michael Sleeth. Grandfather of Tracy, Theresa, Nora, Laura and Michael. Brother of the late Lloyd, Margorie and Robert. Brother-in-law of Mildred Jackson of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Rita Salt of Calgary, Bernard Alberts, Eldridge Alberts, Reuben Alberts all of Melville, Saskatchewan, Ralph Alberts of Saskatoon, Everett Alberts of Calgary and Phyllis Sleeth of Kingston. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. People who knew Doug most admired his stained glass work, woodworking, picture framing, gardening and his collection of military badges and memorabilia. Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street from 2-4 pm Sunday. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, December 9, 2002 at 10:00 am. Father Antonio Barol will be officiating. Interment Highland Park Cemetery.
