EASON, Elwood Craig - of Lake City Michigan in his78th year passed away at the Curry House in Cadillac, Saturday December 7th 2002. Mr. Eason was born October 6, 1924 in Peterborough, Ontario to George Gordon and Violet (Patterson) Eason. He married September 6th 1947 to Shirley McKee in Peterborough. Mr. Eason was an avid Hockey fan. Besides playing hockey his entire life, he also coached and refereed the sport. He enjoyed golf and woodworking. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Shirley, children Barbara Winkelmann of New Carlisle, Donna and Richard Maatman of Lake City, Doug and Judy Eason of Shelby Township, brother Noel Eason of Peterborough, and grandchildren Colin Winkelmann, Amy Scoggins, Wendy and Matthew Eason. Predeceased by brother Don and his parents. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday December 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake City United Methodist Church. Reverend Edrye Maurer officiating.
