BONAZZA, Bruno In loving memory of Bruno Bonazza, 79 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Saturday afternoon, May 11th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Memorial Site. He was born in Serra S. Bruno Catanzaro, Italy and married Fiorina (Dominelli) in 1949 in Italy. Bruno came to Canada in 1949 settling in Sudbury in 1954. He was a smelter worker at the FBR Plant having 25 years at INCO, retiring in 1985. A devout Roman Catholic he attended St. Anthony’s Church. He was an avid blueberry picker, gardener and in younger days wine maker. His passion was bocce having developed and maintained the bocce courts in Delchi Dozzi Park for many years. A well respected and liked member of the local Italian community he was a member of the Calabraese Club and the Cavaliere Della Patria. Bruno was devoted to his loving family, especially his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. Beloved husband of Fiorina (Dominelli) Bonazza of Sudbury. Loving father of Teresa (husband Palmerino Rocca) and Linda (husband Roy Cividino) both of Sudbury, Rose predeceased 1995 (husband Eugene Giannotta of Sudbury) and Vince (wife Sherry) of Bowmanville. Cherished Nonno of Maria (husband Ron), Marla, Melissa, Mathieu, Laura, Michael, Victoria, Amanda, David, Jason and Eric. Dear son of Vincenzo and Teresa (Schiafone) Bonazza predeceased. Dear brother of Catena Dominelli of Sudbury and the late Nazzarena, Rosa and Raffaela all predeceased. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, 19 Mary St., Sudbury, Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Civic Cemetery, Sudbury.
