BLANCHETTE, Roger A. In loving memory of Roger A. Blanchette, 72 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Monday evening, June 10th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Memorial Site. Born in Sudbury, he married Jeannette (Ross) in 1977 in Sudbury. A life resident of Sudbury, Roger was a painter at the Laurentian Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1990. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #76 Sudbury and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Beloved husband of Jeannette (Ross) Blanchette of Sudbury. Loving father of Marguerite (Paul) Groulx of Sudbury, Denis predeceased, Diane Lambert and Yvette Longhi both of Sudbury, Victor predeceased, Lise (Norm) McComb and Anita (Claude) Lepage both of Elliot Lake, Cecile (Wayne) Fisher of Sudbury, Marcel of Brampton, George (Therese) of Elliot Lake; step-children Joan (Marc) Dumontelle and Emily Alexander both of Sudbury, Susan (Brian) Thibau of Lively, Roy Anderson of Toronto, Bert (Coco) Anderson of Hanmer, Sylvia (Dave) Boyd of Alabama. Cherished grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear son of Wilfrid and Marie Blanchette predeceased. Dear brother of Robert of Sudbury, Ernest predeceased, Romuald (Sylvia) of Blezard Valley, Roland (Denise) of Saskatchewan, Jeannette predeceased and Gerald (Gisele) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #76, Sudbury, 1553 Weller St., Sudbury, Friday, June 14th, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart & Soul Campaign would be appreciated. (Friends may gather at the Legion after 10:00 a.m. Friday).
