FALKENBERG, Cora Henrietta (Rieck) In celebration of a full life lived with quiet courage and dignity. Cora Falkenberg travelled on, on Thursday June 13, 2002. Beloved daughter of Willie and Cora Rieck (Friese). Loving mother of Rolf, wife Leslie of Calgary, Cora Turcott, husband Jim of Sudbury and Claudia, fiancé Wes Ford of Burlington. Much loved "Grandma Mein Spaetzchen" of Vicki, Katie, Holly, Lisa and Cassie. Cherished sister of Dr. Barbel von Domarus, husband Gero of Berlin. Sadly missed by niece Cora, husband Olaf of Greifswald and Peter of Berlin. Very sadly missed by her cat Tippy. Cora came from Germany to Canada in 1954. She became a Librarian and retired from the Sudbury Public Library in 1988. After retirement, Cora travelled extensively and soaked up the culture and language of places she visited. Her favourite places were Greece and Manitoulin Island. Her enjoyment of life came from the Opera Guild, the Weavers and Spinners Guild, reading, swimming, gardening and her family. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Monday, June 17th, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society or VON or Meals on Wheels would be appreciated.
