GAUTHIER, Laurier Z. "Larry" In loving memory of Laurier Z. "Larry" Gauthier, 75 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Monday morning, June 24th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born and raised in St. Charles, Larry moved to Sudbury in the late forties. He married Rita (Joly) in 1952 in Sudbury. He was a miner at Falconbridge Ltd. having 30 years service, retiring in 1985. A Roman Catholic he belonged to St. Dominique’s Church. A gifted musician he was well known in the Sudbury area playing in local bands and hosting his own radio program. Larry had a lifelong passion for music and collecting musical instruments. Beloved husband of Rita (Joly) Gauthier of Sudbury. Loving father of Robert Gauthier, Nicole Poitras (husband Marc), Paulette Birmingham (husband Jeff) and Daniel Gauthier (partner Elsa) all of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Deryk, André, Julie, Sarah and Justin; great-grandchild Mackenzie. Dear son of Zothique and Christina Gauthier predeceased. Dear brother of Aline Gervais (husband Gerard predeceased) of Sudbury, Murielle Fitzgerald (husband Ronald) of Kitchener and Yvette Gauthier (husband Conrad) of St. Theodore d’Acton P.Q., and the late Wilfred (wife Jeannette), David, Philippe, Alice Bariault (husband Philippe), Helen Longpré (husband Louis), Rene, Antoinette Chevrier (husband Lucien), Simone Dube (husband Jules) all predeceased. Survived by sisters-in-law Rita and Therese. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Dominique’s Church, 1241 Diane St., Sudbury, Thursday, June 27th, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
