WHARTON, James Edward In loving memory of James Edward Wharton, 83 years, of Lively, who passed away Tuesday evening, June 25th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph’s Health Centre. He was born in Cochrane and married Pearl (Koski) in 1969 in Sudbury. James grew up in Cochrane moving to Sudbury in 1940. He was a First Class Stationary Engineer at INCO having 38 years service, retiring in 1978. He was an avid golfer having had a membership at the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club. He was a keen fisherman and he enjoyed square dancing. He was a member of the INCO Quarter Century Club. Beloved husband of Pearl (Koski) Wharton of Lively. Loving father of Beverley (husband Jim Kelly) of Kingston, Brenda Birch of Honora Bay, Manitoulin Island. Cherished grandfather of Christopher (wife Karen), Alison (husband Tim McLean) and David. Special step-father of Dr. Gary Kivinen (partner Linda) of Sudbury. Dear step-grandfather of Kirsti. Dear son of Percy and Anna Wharton predeceased. Dear brother of Marie, Kitchener, Fred and Margaret all predeceased. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Friday, June 28th, 2002 at 2 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart & Soul Cancer Services Campaign would be appreciated.
