WIRTA, Ron J. In loving memory of Ron J. Wirta, 58 years, of Garson, who passed away Tuesday morning, June 25th, 2002 at his residence. He was born in Sudbury and married Rita (Gladu) in Sudbury in 1991. A life resident of Sudbury, Ron was a plate worker at Falconbridge Ltd., having 30 years service, retiring in 1994. A Roman Catholic he belonged to St. Augustin’s Parish. He enjoyed helping his wife organize family reunions and gatherings. He enjoyed doing woodcrafts. In preparing for his funeral Ron wrote "Thanks to my brother-in-law Del for the beautiful lot he let me have on the farm to spend my summer. I enjoyed that so much. I considered that as my own little paradise (Thanks Del). I love you and Carole very much. I was also very proud of my kids and grandchildren that I loved so dearly." Beloved husband of Rita (Gladu) Wirta of Garson. Loving father of John Wirta (wife Joy) of Capreol, Debra Lovelady (husband George Jr.) of London, Wayne Wirta (wife Lisette) of Dill Lake and Allan Wirta (wife Sue) of London; step-children Brenda Labrie (husband Dave) and Michael Jeffery (wife Lori) both of Sudbury and James Jeffery (wife Trish) of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Krystle, Adam, Tanner, Zakary, Chris, Brian, Jeffery, Guy, Zoya, Christopher, Kimberly, Randy, Amanda, and Kallista-Lynn. Dear son of Cecile Wirta of Sudbury and the late Arvo Wirta predeceased. Dear brother of Raymond Wirta of Grassy Lake and Darleen Grunland (husband Robert) of Brantford. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Prayers in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Thursday, June 27th, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
